What a week

This past week has been excrutiatingly crazy. Although at the close it is starting to look alot better. I myself have finally started writing again. I hope the project ends well.

This week also marks the release of Terminator Salvation. After waiting 10 years for another Terminator, T3 left me more than disappointed. Salvation was a very nice change of pace, but it still left me wanting for more. The story seemed to be focused on the character of Marcus Wright, and I'm still waiting for the character of John Connor to shine. Although Christian Bale did a great job of playing the character, I've always felt that John Connor has been a side character in the films. He wasn't in T1 and in T2 he was a young trouble making teen who was lugged around while Arnie and Sarah Connor did all the work. In T3 he was just a whiny jerk who let Arnie do all the fighting for him while he played lovey dovey and tried to deny that judgement day was coming. Even in the Terminator TV show all John does is sit back and relax while momma and the new Terminator take out the trash. In Salvation he's played second string to Marcus, although in this one he does alot more ass kicking than in the previous portrails. Still, the entire Terminator franchise is based around the survival of John Connor, so you'd think the movie would undoubtedly be about him. I hope the next installments will show me this legendary John Connor that has been talked about for the last 2 decades. I will say that McG did a great job and you can see his passion for the project. And even though I've spent the last paragraph complaining I really did enjoy the film. Even though in the end the movie was still pointless. The first two Terminators had the theme of changing your destiny, and T3 completely destroyed that theme. But I love what Salvation did with what it had.

Well that was my weekly movie review. Honestly, go see the movie. But I would say see Star Trek first cause I found that film more entertaining. Or you can wait until next week to see Sam Raimi's Drag Me To Hell and Pixar's Up, two films I can't wait for.

As for this week's events everything been pretty hectic. I would like to say happy birthday to Gabe Sorrentino, who's birthday was on May 19th. Gabe you are missed and your sister deeply loves you.

Well my fellow compadres, I'm out. Join us next time, same bat-time, same bat-place.

A More Wonderful Proclamation Than The Last

Although this blog is 'supposedly' for short stories and movie reviews and such, I just want to say how positively amazing Kody Riekena is. And I don't lie. This week is one of the hardest times for me, and the fact he can not only put up with my mood swings, but even try and help me is just astonishing. I'm so lucky I have him. He's the most talented, wonderful man any girl can ask for; a dream come true.

A Proclamation of Excrutiating Importantance

Hola Bloggosphere, or as the spaniards says, el Hello. As you can tell by the completely awesome and understandable title written by a stunningly handsome fellow. This is an announcement that my wonderful girlfriend, Josie Rose, and I are going to write a weekly blog about our lives. We are also hoping to write a short story every week. This joining of our two minds is quite possibly the greatest partner ship since Peanut Butter & Jelly, since Abbot & Costello, since Batman and Alligator face, that one happened right. So be prepared true believers for the ride of a virtual lifetime. -Ko
